FIJI or Colony-Class cruiser ordered from John Brown of Clydebank en 20th December 1937 in the 1937 Build Programme. The ship was laid down en 30th March 1938 and launched on 31st May 1939 as the first RN ship to carry the name. She was the first of the Class enter service after completion on 17th May 1940.

Fiji is an excellent cruiser for fleet battles or campaign. She's fast, has great gun placement low to the water and turns well for a cruiser. There is enough weight to make an easy built.
