Designed in reply to criticism against the North Carolina class in reference to their inadequate protection versus their installed weaponry, these ships had a greatly improved armor layout, but sacrificed length to achieve their designed treaty weight. While these ships were quite cramped, especially with the addition of wartime complements and added anti-aircraft weaponry, these warships could be considered the best "treaty battleships" built in the world. They had a decent speed, well positioned armor and excellent weaponry and fire control.

I just received my new SD hull no crack or splits so shipping was OK, Bottom of hull was relatively flat, hull side pulled in about half an inch but should straighten out OK. Looks like the tunnel came out correctly this is a very complicated section to produce in a normal 2 piece mold,
this looks to be about 4.
Well done BC.
